Millia Educational Trust, Purnea, was established in 1984 and is registered under the Societies Registration Act 21 of 1860. It is sponsored by the Muslim minority community under the benevolent leadership of Dr. Md. Asad Imam, a philanthropist. The trust is committed to providing quality education.

Millia Educational Trust has become synonymous with a group of visionary individuals. Based on my learning and understanding of the locality and its people, I firmly believe that the various issues in this area and society at large are directly or indirectly connected to illiteracy and ignorance.

Illiteracy is the root cause of many problems, as it gives rise to issues such as poverty, unemployment, and child labor, leading to numerous social evils, including bonded labor and child marriages. These realizations have strengthened my understanding that illiteracy is one of the greatest challenges affecting humanity, as it hinders the development of an advanced, progressive, and peaceful world.
